By E. H. Gombrich. Written for children but read equally by grown ups. Gombrich writes as if he’s sitting with you, telling you the story himself. A beautifully illustrated book which leaves you feeling fascinated and informed in a way that history lessons at school could only dream of.

Structure

We’ve been finding a lot of information on the web recently (it’s great for that…) about “simple living”. The thing is that it’s nearly all about saving money or minimising your impact on the environment. Understandably, the current economic climate is fuelling the simplicity industry even more.
