What I Talk About When I Talk About Running

By Haruki Murakami. One of our favourite writers is also a marathon runner and this book, part autobiography, part training diary, recounts how running has influenced his writing and his life. Inspiring.

Hello. I know you posted this comment a while ago but I completely missed it and then I suddenly found it. Anyway, thinking about this book again reminded me of what I love about running - the simplicity and focus of it. I haven't been running for a long time and it's just not good enough. I'm going out right now!
